Chin liposuction at Polish clinics most commonly costs PLN 6,800, roughly half the median price of abdominal liposuction, which is PLN 13,000. A cheaper, non-surgical alternative is injection lipolysis of the chin: the median is PLN 500 per treatment, usually as part of a series of several appointments.

The chin is one of the smallest areas from which fat is removed, so chin liposuction costs considerably less than abdominal liposuction. There is also a cheaper, non-surgical alternative for the same area, while abdominoplasty is sometimes suggested instead of liposuction for the abdomen. How much does chin liposuction cost?

Chin liposuction at plastic surgery clinics most commonly costs PLN 6,800, according to price lists collected by indekscen.pl. This is roughly half the price of abdominal liposuction. The difference is due to the size of the area: only a small amount of fat is removed from the chin, the procedure takes less time and local anaesthesia with sedation is often sufficient instead of general anaesthesia.

The price listed usually does not cover everything. Before the procedure, you will need a surgical consultation and laboratory tests, while afterwards you will need a chin compression garment and follow-up appointments. Ask the clinic which of these are included.

Chin liposuction or injection lipolysis: which should you choose?

Injection lipolysis of the chin has a median cost of PLN 500 per treatment, typically PLN 500 ‑ 600, and requires neither an incision nor general anaesthesia. The substance injected into the chin breaks down fat cells, but the results appear gradually and doctors usually plan a series of several treatments. Three treatments cost around PLN 1,500.

Lipolysis is suitable for a small double chin, while liposuction is used for larger amounts of fat. A doctor decides which method is appropriate after an examination: if the skin is loose, neither will provide the full desired result and the doctor may suggest another option. How much does abdominal liposuction cost?

Abdominal liposuction in Poland most commonly costs PLN 13,000, with half of all price lists falling within the PLN 12,000 ‑ 13,500 range. The lowest price in our sources is PLN 3,000, but this is a starting price, usually for the smallest areas, while the highest is PLN 15,000. The price of abdominal liposuction increases depending on the treatment area, whether it is only the lower abdomen or the abdomen together with the waist and flanks, the number of areas treated at the same time and the type of anaesthesia. When several areas are treated at once, clinics often charge less for each additional area, so combining the abdomen and flanks is cheaper than having two separate procedures.

Which is better: liposuction or abdominoplasty?

Abdominoplasty has a median cost of PLN 15,000, typically PLN 13,000 ‑ 17,000, which is more than abdominal liposuction, but it addresses a different problem. Liposuction removes fat from beneath firm skin that can contract on its own. abdominoplasty removes excess skin and often repairs separated abdominal muscles, for example after pregnancy or significant weight loss.

A cheaper option is a mini abdominoplasty, which covers only the area below the navel and costs around PLN 8,500. A plastic surgeon will determine the right option during a consultation. Do not assume in advance that the cheaper procedure will be sufficient.

How long is recovery after chin liposuction, and when are the results visible?

Recovery after chin liposuction is usually shorter than after abdominal liposuction: swelling and bruising last from several days to two weeks, while the compression garment should be worn as advised by the doctor, most commonly during the first few weeks. Many people return to office work after a few days. The final result is usually visible after 3 to 6 months, once the swelling has subsided and the skin has adapted to the new shape.

With injection lipolysis, costing PLN 500 ‑ 600 per treatment, the swelling after each appointment is less pronounced, but you need to wait longer for the result because treatment consists of several sessions spaced several weeks apart. When scheduling treatment, for example before a wedding or an important event, allow plenty of time. Your doctor will tell you how long healing should take in your particular case, as it depends on the amount of fat removed and the elasticity of your skin.

What determines the price of liposuction?

The price of liposuction depends on the area of the body, the number of areas treated in one procedure and the clinic. Factors mentioned in price lists include:

1. Area of the body. The chin is the least expensive, while the abdomen, waist and flanks are the most expensive.
2. Number of areas treated at once. An additional area treated during the same procedure usually costs less than a separate operation.
3. Anaesthesia. General anaesthesia and a hospital stay increase the price compared with local anaesthesia.
4. Clinic and city. Large clinics in Warsaw, Kraków and Wrocław usually have higher prices.
5. Method. Ultrasound-assisted, laser-assisted or syringe liposuction can be more expensive than conventional liposuction.

What additional costs should you allow for with liposuction?

In addition to the liposuction price, you will usually need to pay for a consultation, pre-operative tests and compression garments, as well as allow for time off work. Abdominal compression garments are worn for several weeks, while chin garments are worn for less time. Follow-up appointments are usually included in the price, but not always.

Before the procedure, ask the clinic:

• What exactly the price includes: anaesthesia, the stay, dressings, compression garments and follow-up appointments.
• Who will perform the procedure and how much experience they have with this area.
• What recovery involves and how many days off work you will need.
• What happens if the result is uneven: whether there is a charge for corrective treatment.

Is syringe liposuction cheaper?

Syringe liposuction is a technique in which fat is removed manually using a syringe instead of a pump. It is used for small areas such as the chin, knees and parts of the face. We do not have a separate median for this method in the index. Clinics usually price it in the same way as liposuction of the relevant area, so around PLN 6,800 remains the reference price for the chin. Fat collected with a syringe is sometimes used for transfer to another area, which is listed as a separate additional item in the price list. If a clinic suggests this technique, ask for a written itemised quotation.

Liposuction and gynaecomastia in men

Men most commonly ask about liposuction of the abdomen and flanks, as well as the chest. If the breast enlargement is caused by glandular tissue rather than fat alone, liposuction will not be sufficient and the surgeon will suggest gynaecomastia surgery, which has a median cost of PLN 8,500. An examination, and sometimes an ultrasound scan, is needed to determine this, so a quotation given over the phone may be inaccurate.
