In Poland, hybrid nails at a beauty salon most often cost PLN 120 for a basic single-colour manicure (typically PLN 110 ‑ 135). The cheapest salons in smaller cities charge from PLN 40, while the most expensive charge up to PLN 209. A hybrid manicure with nail extensions using forms costs around PLN 230, while a package with a pedicure costs PLN 285.

You pay for hybrid nails regularly, every few weeks, so a difference of several dozen PLN between salons adds up to a substantial amount over a year. We collected prices from salon and beauty studio price lists across Poland to show how much hybrid nails cost in different cities, what salons charge extra for and how much they cost over a full year.

How much do hybrid nails cost at a beauty salon?

Hybrid nails at a beauty salon most often cost PLN 120 for a basic single-colour manicure without nail art. This is the median from 92 price lists collected by indekscen.pl, and half of them fall within the PLN 110 ‑ 135 range. The cheapest offers start at PLN 40, while the most expensive, at cosmetology clinics in large cities, reach PLN 209.

The basic price for gel polish manicure usually includes preparing the nail plate, tidying the cuticles, applying a base coat, colour and top coat, and curing under a lamp. Nail art, French manicures, extensions and the removal of work done by another salon are separate items on the price list.

How much does a hybrid manicure cost in different cities?

Hybrid manicures are cheapest in smaller cities, where prices start at PLN 70 in Wałbrzych and PLN 80 in Słupsk. The highest local medians are in Wrocław (PLN 155), Gdynia (PLN 150) and Katowice (PLN 140).

Warsaw and Kraków produce some surprising results: the median is PLN 110 in Warsaw and PLN 105 in Kraków. We currently have only a few price lists for each city, while their large markets also include many small studios and neighbourhood salons that compete on price. The most expensive studios in the capital charge well above this median, however, so treat the figure as a guide rather than the price at every salon.

What do beauty salons charge extra for with hybrid nails?

The listed price usually applies to a single-colour hybrid manicure on natural nails, and every extra increases the bill. The most common items that affect the price are:

1. Nail extensions. A hybrid manicure with extensions using forms costs around PLN 230, clearly more than the basic service at PLN 120.
2. Nail art. French tips, ombre, stickers, rhinestones and hand-painted designs are priced per nail or per full set.
3. Removing work done by another salon. A salon will usually remove its own hybrid polish as part of the price of a new manicure, but charges extra to remove another salon’s work.
4. Strengthening the nail plate. A builder base or gel under hybrid polish may be a separate item for weak, brittle nails.
5. Package with a pedicure. A hybrid manicure with a pedicure costs around PLN 285.

When booking an appointment, it is worth asking exactly what the basic price includes, as cuticle work may be included at one salon but cost extra at another.

How much does a hybrid manicure with nail extensions cost?

A hybrid manicure with nail extensions using forms costs around PLN 230, clearly more than a basic hybrid manicure on natural nails. The higher price reflects the longer treatment time: the nail technician creates extra length using gel or acrygel on a form, files it into shape and only then applies the colour. The appointment then usually takes between one and a half and two and a half hours rather than one hour.

Extensions then require infills, not just a colour change, so the annual budget is quite different. If you only want colour and a neat appearance, a basic hybrid manicure on short nails is the cheapest salon option. If your nails are brittle, ask about strengthening them with a builder base, which usually costs less than full extensions.

How long does a hybrid manicure last?

A properly applied hybrid manicure usually lasts 2 to 3 weeks. The nail then grows out, leaving a gap by the cuticle, and the polish may start chipping at the tips. Working with water and detergents without gloves reduces its durability, as does a weak, splitting nail plate.

The annual cost depends on how often you visit the salon. Based on the median of PLN 120 per appointment, it works out roughly as follows:

The difference between an appointment every 3 weeks and every 4 weeks amounts to several visits a year, so helping your manicure last longer, by wearing gloves when cleaning and using cuticle oil, genuinely reduces your spending.

Which is more expensive: hybrid or gel nails?

A gel manicure is usually more expensive than a hybrid manicure: the median for gel nails is PLN 150, compared with PLN 120 for a hybrid manicure. Gel lasts longer, from 2 to 4 weeks, and can be used to create longer nails, while hybrid polish is thinner and quicker to apply. When should you not have a hybrid manicure?

Hybrid polish should not be applied to nails showing signs of infection, for example suspected fungal infection, inflammation of the nail folds, wounds or damage to the nail plate. A good beautician will examine your nails before the treatment and refuse to proceed if anything raises concerns. Do not treat this as a waste of time: polish on an unhealthy nail can hinder treatment and conceal changes.

If a fungal infection is suspected, a doctor or podiatrist should decide on the treatment and when it is safe to have your nails done again. You should also be cautious about hybrid manicures if you are allergic to ingredients in the polish, which may cause itching and redness around the nails. In that case, consult a doctor and tell the salon about the reaction before your next appointment.

How can you avoid overpaying for hybrid nails?

• Compare the standard price, not a first-visit offer. What matters is the price you will pay every few weeks.
• Ask about hybrid polish removal. If you stay with the same salon, removal is usually included in the price of a new manicure, while changing salons means an additional charge.
• Consider a package. A manicure and pedicure at the same appointment costs around PLN 285.
• Check hygiene standards. Tools sterilised in an autoclave and sealed in sterilisation pouches are standard and should not cost extra.
• Do not peel off hybrid polish yourself. Peeling off the polish removes the top layer of the nail plate, and weakened nails may then need strengthening at an additional cost.

A home hybrid manicure kit can pay for itself after a few months, but it takes practice, and an incorrectly applied base coat chips more quickly and increases the risk of an allergic reaction.
