Usually yes: reconditioning a conventional turbocharger costs PLN 700-900, and even more expensive variable-geometry or electronically controlled versions (PLN 800-2500) are cheaper than a new turbocharger, which costs from around PLN 2000 upwards.
How much does a mechanic charge to replace a turbocharger?
It depends on the type of turbocharger: a conventional unit without variable geometry costs PLN 700-1200, one with variable geometry PLN 800-1500, and one with an electronic controller PLN 1000-2500.
