How much does engine sealing cost?
Replacing valve stem seals usually costs from PLN 500 to PLN 1000 for labour alone, while the total cost, including parts, ranges from PLN 500 to PLN 3500, depending on the garage and scope of repairs.
Can valve stem seals be replaced without removing the cylinder head?
In most modern engines, yes: the mechanic feeds compressed air through the spark plug hole to keep the valves in the upper position. The cylinder head only needs to be removed if the guides or valves are damaged.
