How much does a dental implant cost in 2026? Prices by city, crowns and alternatives
indekscen.pl editorial team · published 30 September 2026 · prices according to the 5 October 2026 index
A dental implant alone (the implant without a crown) most often costs around PLN 3,350 in Poland, typically PLN 3,000 ‑ 3,500. According to price lists, the complete procedure with a crown for one tooth costs around PLN 7,500.

An implant is the most expensive, but also the most durable way to replace a missing tooth. The problem is that “implant” means something different in every dental surgery’s price list: sometimes just the titanium implant, sometimes the complete procedure with a crown. We collected prices from public price lists and guides in 32 cities and compared them with other popular dental procedures.
How much does a dental implant cost?
The median price of the implant alone, meaning the screw inserted into the bone, is PLN 3,350. Half of the sources fall within the range of PLN 3,000 ‑ 3,500. The cheapest offer we found starts at PLN 1,000, while the most expensive reaches PLN 5,200. The difference is mainly due to the implant system: cheaper economy systems and premium branded systems effectively occupy two different price brackets.
An abutment and a dental crown must be added to the cost of the implant. Dental surgeries that state the price of the complete procedure for one tooth charge around PLN 7,500. This is the most important figure in this article: if you see an implant offered for an amount close to PLN 1,000, it almost certainly does not include the crown.
| Dental implant: option | Median | Typically | Sources |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic service | PLN 3,350 | PLN 3,000 ‑ 3,500 | 114 |
| Implant with crown (full procedure, one tooth) | PLN 7,500 | PLN 7,250 ‑ 7,750 | 2 |

Dental implant: cities from cheapest to most expensive. Median and typical range from public price lists, as at 5 October 2026. Each price includes a source and quotation on the service page.
What does the table show? First, the variation within a single city is often greater than the difference between cities. Second, in the current comparison, medians in major cities are close to the national median, while the lowest prices appear more often in smaller cities, where dental surgeries compete on price. Third, in some cities we rely on two or three sources, so a single promotion can move a city up or down the ranking. For comparison, the median in Warsaw is PLN 3,700, in Kraków it is PLN 3,300, and in Wrocław it is PLN 3,200.
For an implant intended to last for more than a decade, saving a few hundred PLN should not be the only consideration. However, it is worth knowing that travelling to a neighbouring city can be a practical option, as treatment requires several visits rather than daily travel.
Implant or braces: which costs more in your city?
Fixed braces are another major dental expense that patients ask about. Metal braces for one arch most often cost PLN 2,700, while the aesthetic ceramic version costs around PLN 3,750. A complete set for the upper and lower arches therefore costs around PLN 5,400 for the brackets alone, excluding diagnostics and check-ups every few weeks.
We have prices for braces in 16 cities. Here are the cities for which we know the prices of both procedures:
| Service | Warsaw | Kraków | Poznań | Białystok | Toruń | Gliwice | Sosnowiec | Poland |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dental implant | PLN 3,700 | PLN 3,300 | PLN 3,300 | PLN 3,200 | PLN 3,000 | PLN 3,500 | PLN 3,250 | PLN 3,350 |
| Fixed orthodontic braces | PLN 3,000 | PLN 2,200 | PLN 2,800 | PLN 2,500 | PLN 3,000 | PLN 2,700 | PLN 2,400 | PLN 2,700 |

The order of the cities does not have to be the same for both services: a city with inexpensive implants is not always inexpensive for orthodontic treatment. This is a good reason to compare a specific procedure rather than “general dental prices” in the area.
Clear aligners are an alternative to fixed braces. Complete aligner treatment for both arches costs around PLN 10,000, typically PLN 8,000 ‑ 10,000. This is clearly more than metal braces, but the price usually covers the entire treatment cycle, not just fitting the brackets.
Can you choose something cheaper instead of an implant?
A missing tooth can be replaced in three ways, with costs varying by an order of magnitude:
| Service | Median | Typically | Sources |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dental implant | PLN 3,350 | PLN 3,000 ‑ 3,500 | 114 |
| Dental bridge | PLN 1,100 | PLN 875 ‑ 1,100 | 3 |
| Denture | PLN 2,200 | PLN 2,000 ‑ 3,000 | 5 |
| Root canal treatment | PLN 645 | PLN 585 ‑ 750 | 4 |
Median and typical range from public price lists, as at 5 October 2026. Each price includes a source and quotation on the service page.
- dental bridge: cheapest as an adhesive bridge (around PLN 1,100), but it needs to be supported by the adjacent teeth. Data on bridges is limited, so treat this price as a guide.
- denture: a complete acrylic denture for one arch costs around PLN 2,200, while a cast metal denture costs around PLN 3,500. The acrylic version is the only one reimbursed by the NFZ, once every few years if the relevant conditions are met.
- Implant: the most expensive option, but it does not require the adjacent teeth to be filed down and also replaces the tooth root.
Before deciding to have a tooth removed and replaced with an implant, ask whether it can be saved. root canal treatment for a single-root-canal tooth costs around PLN 645, while treatment of a tooth with four root canals costs around PLN 1,700. Even after adding the cost of rebuilding the tooth, this is often less than the complete implant procedure, but a dentist will decide whether the treatment is worthwhile after examining an X-ray.
How much do dental hygiene treatment and whitening cost before treatment?
Before implant placement, fitting braces or whitening, a dental surgery will usually recommend professional dental cleaning. Scaling with air polishing for both arches costs around PLN 375, typically PLN 370 ‑ 400. This is the least expensive item in the comparison and the only one worth repeating regularly regardless of your treatment plans.
teeth whitening costs around PLN 1,650 for both arches. If you are planning an implant in a visible area, discuss the order of treatment with your dentist: the crown is matched to the colour of the adjacent teeth and cannot be whitened later.
| Service | Median | Typically | Sources |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dental hygiene treatment (scaling and air polishing) | PLN 375 | PLN 370 ‑ 400 | 5 |
| Teeth whitening | PLN 1,650 | PLN 1,500 ‑ 1,700 | 5 |
| Orthodontic aligners | PLN 10,000 | PLN 8,000 ‑ 10,000 | 3 |
| Fixed orthodontic braces | PLN 2,700 | PLN 2,500 ‑ 3,000 | 50 |
Median and typical range from public price lists, as at 5 October 2026. Each price includes a source and quotation on the service page.
What increases the cost of an implant?
- Bone grafting. If there is insufficient bone, augmentation or a sinus lift is needed. This is a separate item on the price list and can significantly increase the bill.
- Diagnostics. CT scans and X-rays are rarely included in the implant price.
- Implant system and material. Premium and zirconia implants are more expensive than economy titanium systems.
- Crown. Porcelain-fused-to-metal and all-ceramic crowns have different prices, and some dental surgeries charge separately for the abutment.
- Number of teeth. When restoring a complete arch on several implants using methods such as All-on-4 or All-on-6, the price is calculated as a package and is not simply a multiple of the cost of one implant.
How long does implant treatment take and how many visits do you need to pay for?
An implant is not a single procedure, but a process usually spread over several months: a consultation with diagnostic tests, implant placement, a period of healing and integration with the bone, and finally fitting the abutment and crown. Some dental surgeries charge for each stage separately, so the payments are naturally spread over the course of treatment. This matters when comparing offers: a cheaper implant with an expensive crown may produce a higher total than a package. Also ask whether the price includes follow-up visits after the procedure and a temporary replacement for the healing period.
How can you avoid overpaying for an implant?
Ask for a written treatment plan showing the price of every item: the consultation, diagnostics, implant, abutment, crown and any bone grafting. Compare offers based on the same total, not the headline price in the price list. Ask for the name of the implant system and details of the warranty, as a cheap implant from an unknown brand may make future repairs at another dental surgery more difficult. If the prices are too high for you, check the payment plans: many dental surgeries spread the cost over several months without interest.
