Five sources with varying levels of reliability, deliberately kept separate so that declarations are not mixed with evidence. What affects the price
- the vehicle's country of origin and transport distance
- transport method: on a recovery vehicle or driven on its own wheels
- vehicle type and weight
- additional services: pre-purchase inspection, preparation of registration documents
- route/distance (price also quoted per km: approx. PLN 1.7-2.6/km from abroad)

Evidence from calculators for the cost of importing from the USA, Korea and Japan still largely cannot be verified with a quotation or combines the price of the vehicle itself, customs duty and excise duty with transport costs, so it was not used. The exception is iusac.pl, where a clear row showing only the price of vehicle transport from Germany could be extracted.

Two types of entries: customers state how much they paid for the entire job and rate the contractor; service providers enter their price lists. Customer entries have three reliability levels: ✓ verified: invoice or receipt (the editorial team has seen a document matching the entry), ✓ verified: declaration (the author confirmed the entry using a link sent by e-mail) and unverified (how we verify entries); we do not verify company price lists. What is the cost of transporting a car from Germany?
Transporting a car on a recovery vehicle from Germany to Poland usually costs from about PLN 1200-2500 (Western Europe) to PLN 2500-3500, depending on the route and destination port.
How much are the fees for a car imported from abroad?
In addition to transport itself, excise duty, document translation and registration must be included: together, these usually cost PLN 3000-4000 (for cars from Western Europe), while document translation alone costs PLN 120-200.
How much does towing over 1000 km cost?
We do not have a direct price for 1000 km, but based on the rate of PLN 1,7-2,6/km used for international transport, the estimated cost of such a journey is approx. PLN 1700-2600.
