Birthday paintball: how should you plan the cost?

At the median price, birthday paintball costs approximately PLN 450 for ten players. It is worth planning the budget before booking to avoid additional charges at the venue. These steps can help you keep the cost within a set amount:

1. Confirm the number of players and spectators. People who only watch usually do not pay for a package, but they cannot enter the playing field.
2. Choose a package with spare paintballs instead of buying them individually during the game.
3. Ask about the players’ ages. For children, fields often offer lower-powered markers or a version using smaller paintballs.
4. Check the facilities outside the playing field: shelter, barbecue, parking and toilets. There may be a separate charge for hiring a shelter.
5. Book in advance, particularly for weekends in spring and summer.

How long does paintball last?

If you want to play for longer, choose a package with more paintballs instead of buying them individually during the game.

Does being shot with a paintball hurt?

Being shot with a paintball hurts briefly, rather like a hard flick, and usually leaves a small bruise. Hits at close range and on areas poorly protected by clothing, such as the neck and hands, are the most noticeable.

How to reduce the pain:

1. Dress in layers. A sweatshirt under your overalls provides considerable cushioning against hits.
2. Wear gloves and neck protection if the field has them available for hire.
3. Never remove your mask on the playing field, even for a moment.
4. Observe the minimum shooting-distance rule announced by the marshal.

Which hurts more, paintball or airsoft?

Paintball usually hurts more than airsoft because a paintball is larger and heavier than a plastic airsoft pellet. Airsoft, however, requires your own equipment and tends to involve longer, organised scenarios, while recreational paintball is easier to arrange as a one-off event.

In paintball, a hit is visible as a paint mark, making it easier for beginners to determine who has been eliminated. Is paintball good value compared with other activities?
