What affects the price
- type of appointment: basic consultation or examination with additional tests (fundus examination, OCT, etc.)
- facility: a chain optician may be cheaper than an ophthalmology clinic
- patient's age: paediatric consultations may be priced separately
- whether the examination is combined with the purchase of contact lenses (it may then be considerably cheaper)

How much does an eye test by an ophthalmologist cost?
A basic ophthalmology appointment or consultation usually costs around PLN 200 to PLN 400, depending on the facility and scope of the examination.
How much does a private OCT scan cost?
According to the Wszo.pl price list, an appointment with macular OCT or optic nerve head OCT costs PLN 450.
