Marquee hall (instead of a masonry building)600 ‑ 1,500 PLN/m²Arbena.pl, Strefabiznesu.pl
Steel cowshed (price per stall)1,000 PLN/stationSmarthalls.com

What affects the price

  • type of structure: masonry (more expensive, more durable), steel or a tent hall (cheaper, quicker to install)
  • building size (larger properties have a lower price per m²)
  • technological equipment: milking system, ventilation, bedding
  • cattle housing system (free-stall, deep-litter or slatted-floor)
  • associated infrastructure: slurry tank, access roads
  • compliance with EU animal welfare standards applicable from 2027

Usually included in the price

  • building structure (steel or masonry), including the roof and installation
  • basic construction work

Usually charged separately

  • technological equipment (bedding, drinkers, fans), charged separately
  • milking system (milking parlour, milking robots), which is a separate major expense
  • slurry tank and associated infrastructure (roads, yards)

The prices per m² shown apply to larger facilities (over 1000-2000 m²); smaller buildings usually cost more per m². The price per stall in a steel cowshed also depends on the cattle housing system.

Prices from customers and companies

Two types of entries: customers state how much they paid for the entire job and rate the contractor; service providers enter their price lists. Customer entries have three reliability levels: ✓ verified: invoice or receipt (the editorial team has seen a document matching the entry), ✓ verified: declaration (the author confirmed the entry using a link sent by e-mail) and unverified (how we verify entries); we do not verify company price lists. Price lists entered by companies are not included in the median at the top of the page; customer amounts are included only for services priced as a complete service.
