- location and type of damage: simple soldering at one point is cheaper than repairing an intricate weave
- weight and thickness of the chain (heavier, thicker links require more work)

Simple soldering of a broken chain at one point usually costs around PLN 10 to PLN 60, depending on the jeweller and type of metal; at some workshops (e.g. in Warsaw), prices can reach as much as PLN 150.
