Can I get a copy of a death certificate immediately?
The first copy is free and issued immediately. Each additional copy is subject to stamp duty: PLN 22 for an abbreviated copy or PLN 33 for a full copy.
How many death certificates are provided free of charge?
One copy is free of charge. For each additional copy, a stamp duty of PLN 22 must be paid for an abridged copy or PLN 33 for a full copy.
How long does it take to obtain a copy of a death certificate?
Deeds drawn up in the electronic register since 1 March 2015 are usually issued quickly; older deeds transferred from paper registers may take longer.
