Five sources with varying levels of reliability, deliberately kept separate so that declarations are not mixed with evidence. The price index consists of cited public price lists per unit of service (PLN/case); customer reviews show amounts for entire jobs submitted via the ‘How much did you pay?’ form, with three verification levels (how we verify them); company price lists contain prices entered by the companies themselves. What affects the price
- whether fault is to be determined (no-fault is cheaper, fault-based is considerably more expensive)
- whether there are minor children and whether the parties agree on custody matters
- whether division of assets is involved (additional court fees and expert costs)

The court fee for filing a divorce petition, PLN 600, is fixed by law; in an uncontested divorce without attribution of fault, the court refunds part of this fee.

Questions about the price
Who pays the costs of divorce proceedings?
The court fee for the divorce petition (PLN 600) is paid by the person filing it. If the court grants a no-fault divorce at the joint request of the parties, the court refunds half of this fee (PLN 300), and the other party refunds PLN 150.
How long does a divorce take and how much does it cost?
A no-fault divorce usually costs PLN 3000 to PLN 7000 in total, while a fault-based divorce costs PLN 6000 or more, sometimes considerably more in complex cases involving multiple hearings.
What is the cheapest way to get divorced?
An uncontested divorce without attribution of fault is the cheapest option; mediation (several sessions rarely cost more than PLN 1000-1500) can also reduce costs by limiting the number of hearings.
