Since January 2025, the NFZ has funded a panoramic dental X-ray with a report for adults once every 5 years, but only as part of root canal treatment or before NFZ-funded prosthodontic treatment, not as a standalone check-up.

Can you have a panoramic dental X-ray through the NFZ?

Are a panoramic dental X-ray and a dental X-ray the same thing?
No: a periapical X-ray shows a single tooth, while a panoramic dental X-ray is one image of the entire upper and lower jaw; price lists treat them as separate items with different prices.
